Orangewood PALS serves the children
and teens at Orangewood
Children’s Home, the county’s emergency
shelter for abused and neglected children, and current and
former foster youth in Orangewood Children’s Foundation
programs.
Members give their time by organizing and participating
in fun events for children at the Home, emancipated young
adults in the Foundation’s
Rising
Tide transitional apartments and foster teens in the
Foundation’s
Independent Living Program. Several PALS members also
mentor current or former foster youth through the Orangewood
Mentor
program.
100% of the net proceeds from PALS fundraising events
help support Orangewood Children's Foundation scholarships
that enable former foster youth to achieve their dreams
of going to college and become self-sufficient individuals
in the community.. |
